Overview
ReadyHaul provides SMS (text message) notifications to help independent truck owner-operators (FOB haulers) stay informed about job opportunities, reminders, and important platform updates. This page explains how users consent to receive SMS messages and how they can manage their preferences.
How Users Opt-In to SMS Notifications
Users provide explicit consent to receive SMS notifications during the account registration process on ReadyHaul. Here's how the opt-in process works:
Registration Opt-In Process
- User navigates to the ReadyHaul registration page at
/auth - User enters their account information including their mobile phone number
- User sees the "Communication Preferences" section with clear checkbox options
- User explicitly checks the "SMS Notifications" checkbox to consent to receiving text messages
- User must select at least one communication method (SMS or Email) to complete registration
- User agrees to Terms and Conditions which include SMS consent language
- Upon clicking "Create Account", the user's SMS consent preference is recorded
Important: SMS notifications are entirely optional. Users can choose to receive only email notifications if they prefer not to receive text messages.
Types of SMS Messages
Users who opt-in to SMS notifications may receive the following types of messages:
Notifications when new hauling jobs are posted that match your availability
Reminders about upcoming jobs you've accepted (1 hour before start time)
Daily reminders to mark jobs complete so you can get paid
Important notifications about your account status or compliance requirements
Message frequency varies based on job availability and your activity. Standard message and data rates may apply.
How to Opt-Out
Users can opt-out of SMS notifications at any time using any of these methods:
Reply "STOP" to any SMS message from ReadyHaul to immediately unsubscribe from all text messages
Log in to your ReadyHaul account, go to Settings, and uncheck "SMS Notifications" in the Communication Preferences section
Email support@readyhaul.net and request to be removed from SMS notifications
After opting out, you will receive a confirmation message and will no longer receive SMS notifications from ReadyHaul. You can re-enable SMS notifications at any time through your account settings.
Privacy & Data Protection
Your phone number and communication preferences are protected in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not:
- Sell or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes
- Send promotional messages unrelated to the ReadyHaul platform
- Continue sending messages after you've opted out
